My name is Harlan

Harlan Guthrie is a Canadian writer, editor, director, sound designer, musician, and voice actor. He is the sole creator and talent behind Malevolent, the Lovecraftian horror Audio Drama which is part of the Rusty Quill Network and runner up to the 2021 Discover Pods awards. He is also the driving force behind Tales From The Dark World, an anthology horror series part of Elijah Wood’s production company SpectreVision Radio and developed the short seven part sci-fi horror series DEVISER, also on the Rusty Quill Netwrok.

As a writer, he has been featured on Season One of The Magnus Protocol, Bloody Disgusting’s The Mayfair Watchers Society and has had a number of his works featured on the multi-award winning NoSleep Podcast. As a Sound Designer he’s worked on The Town Whispers and SEANCE: High Falls and consulted on a variety of smaller projects. As a musician, he’s composed the main musical themes of Malevolent, Deviser, Tales From The Dark World and for Season 2 of Dice Shame and as a Voice Actor he has appeared in over 50 Audio Drama’s including The White Vault, Old Gods of Appalachia & countless more. His creation credits include founding the weekly streaming channel The INVICTUS Stream as well as the Actual Play D&D podcast Dice Shame which he also produces, acts in and edits.

Though he’s a lover of all things nerdy and has a passion for storytelling in all its forms, his heart belongs to his son Henry, his daughter Marie and his wife Jo; with whom he produces Dice Shame and a yearly satirical Christmas radio show.
